Easton Custom Porcelain Dental Crowns
Crowns are protective restorations that cover your tooth when a smaller filling isn’t appropriate. Dr. Heller carefully plans your crown treatment to match and blend with your natural smile, so that you feel confident and comfortable with the final results.
Why Do I Need A Dental Crown?
You may need to think about getting a dental crown if your tooth has been affected by…
- Large decay or fractures in your tooth
- Recent root canal treatment
- Replacing your missing tooth with a dental implant
- An old, failing filling that has compromised your tooth
- Leakage around an old crown, which needs to be replaced
What to Expect
A typical crown treatment is usually completed over two phases.
During the first appointment, Dr. Heller will numb the tooth, remove any compromised structure, and prep it in a way that allows a crown to be placed over it. We’ll then take an impression and shade recording, which are sent to our lab where your crown will be handmade.
About two weeks later, you’ll return to have your temporary crown removed and the permanent restoration fitted over your tooth. We’ll make any minor adjustments as needed, then set your crown with a permanent bonding material.
Each of our high quality dental crowns are created from durable porcelain blends that are not only functional but enhance the appearance of your tooth.
